The Backstory of EduPOP
EduPOP was developed based on surveys and in collaboration with teachers and parents. The surveys revealed that over 90% of respondents didn't know how to use an abacus. With EduPOP, it's easy!
Did you know that POP's (which EduPOP's were based on), were successfully used as anti-stress toys in child therapy for ADHD a few years ago? It was found that the popping and the associated haptic feedback relaxes both children and adults, reducing stress significantly.
These insights and other pedagogical aspects are the reasons why we are so convinced of EduPOP. This calming, stress-reducing effect helps to minimize frustration during learning and to prevent giving up on a task - or at least delay it. This improves the learning curve, especially when starting with mathematics.
